WHO WE ARE
Chain Breaker House
We are a men's residential Christ-centered addiction recovery home in Bartholomew County, working in collaboration with Wheeler Mission of Indianapolis. Chain Breaker House provides a 6-8 week program to help men break the bondage of addiction and begin rebuilding their lives equipped with long-lasting solutions founded on the Word of God.
Manufacture and use of opioids (e.g. heroin) and methamphetamine (e.g. crystal meth) are at an all-time high, as is the number of victims. Use of extremely addictive substances has reached epidemic proportions in the United Sates; our community is no exception.
According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC), "No area of the United States is exempt from this epidemic- we all know a friend, family member, or loved one devastated by opioids... drug overdoses killed 63,632 people in 2016 across all races and ethnicities and across all levels of the social stratum. No area of the United States is exempt from this epidemic."
“I’ve been through about every substance addiction out there: cocaine, meth, nerve pills, pain pills, and heroin. I finally came to the end of myself at 55. During a four year bout with heroin, I overdosed and was on a ventilator for two days.”
“I was broken... Christ has given me a new heart and new desires.”
